Ernesto Pescini

Ernesto was born in Italy in 1949 and grew up on the banks of Lake Como. As an adult he moved to South Wales where he lived and worked for many years before moving to Cornwall in 2018, where he can usually be found either painting or sailing his traditional wooden fishing boat, single-handedly, in all weathers.

He discovered his skill for drawing and painting in his youth and is entirely self-taught. He has exhibited in Europe and, after a break from exhibiting for some years, begun to exhibit again in 2015 in the UK. His work is held in private collections across Europe.

The inspiration for Ernesto’s work comes from two key sources: the English artist J.M.W Turner and paintings such as Snow Storm (1842), and the writings of the Indian spiritual master Meher Baba who taught the concept of Perfect Masters, the Avatar, and the various stages of the spiritual path.
